The Akademie der Künste was designed by Werner Düttmann and opened in 1960. To this day, the building serves as a venue for events and exhibitions, provides the venue for members' meetings, offers studios to international artists and has been opening its doors to numerous audiences for 63 years as a monument to post-war modernism – full of positive energy.
