Filmmaking against all odds? – Cinema, criticism, climate crisis

“Berlin Critics’ Week” Opening Conference

Film productions and today’s societies urgently need to change in the face of man-made climate change. The influence that film makers and critics can and should have on this will be up for discussion at the start of “Berlin Critics’ Week” 2024: How can artistic freedom be reconciled with sustainability imperatives? What routines are paralysing? What political interventions are needed? Continuation on 16 February at the Hackesche Höfe cinema.
