Thomas Florschuetz and Durs Grünbein

Reading and Talk

Thomas Florschuetz’s exhibition Zwischenzeit (until 3 Nov 2019) features large formats from his series Glas/Wasser, Palastbilder and Enclosure (Neues Museum) which focus on the transition from seeing to showing and intervenes with botanical motifs in the historic palace rooms. Questions surrounding the virulent rhetorics of representation and the cannibalisation of Berlin’s historic buildings based on futuristic visions will be discussed by the artist and Durs Grünbein, poet and essayist: “Not everything should stay; some things deserve to perish,” says Grünbein.
