Academy Discussions

Καλλιτεχνες στην Ελλαδα: Επιβιωνοντας σε θυελλωδεις καιρους

Unemployment, uncertainly and impoverishment. How do artists survive such times? How are they influenced by the social situation—and how can they influence society through their work? Four guests involved in the arts offer an insight into the situation in Greece: musician and composer Michalis Lapidakis, theatre director Roula Pateraki, children’s author Rodoula Pappá and Christos Carras, Executive Director of the Onassis Cultural Centre, Athens. Discussion presented and chaired by Michaela Prinzinger. With Jeanine Meerapfel, President of the Akademie der Künste.

The Academy Discussion starts at 8pm. In the foyer from 6pm and after the discussion, shorts films are shown on the work of the participating artists and the Onassis Cultural Center.
